Blueberry Almond Oatmeal

Oatmeal has so many wonderful benefits that it seemed fitting to have a breakfast recipe to start your day.
Here are a few things oatmeal has been known to help with:

This blueberry almond oatmeal provides a satisfying way of getting your dairy, protein, and fruits.
This recipe makes 4v servings.
Ingredients:
- Oatmeal
- 2 cups of 1 minute quaker oats (or old-fashioned rolled oats)
- 4 cups of milk (or you can substitute with almond milk)
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 4 Tbsp (or more to taste) of maple syrup
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Toppings:
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 cup of fresh blueberries
- 1 5oz container of Oui™ by Yoplait® Dairy Free Coconut Dairy Alternative Yogurt
- Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
- Optional garnish
- ground cinnamon
- sliced almonds
Directions:
- To a pot on high heat, add the oats, milk, banana, and blueberries. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes, stirring on occasion to prevent burning.
- Add more milk if you like a thinner consistency, or cook for a couple of minutes longer if you like it thicker.
- Take the pan off the heat and stir in the maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Divide the oatmeal into the bowls and top with banana slices, fresh blueberries, the coconut yogurt, and peanut butter.
- Optional: Garnish with sliced almonds and cinnamon if desired.
